They'd need permission to use his likeness. And I think this was promo for the new album, so the family had to be in on it, which means his estate is seeing $$$.

It looks like they cut corners with this hologram though. The Pac one looked alive and moved fluidly. But I doubt the MJ one cost $200k like the Pac one did.
