I love MJ. biggest MJ fan but not sure why this story keeps getting pushed especially by celebrities who should FACT CHECK

Source: Little Richard - Wikipedia

In 1984, Penniman filed a $112-million lawsuit against Specialty Records; Art Rupe and his publishing company, Venice Music; and ATV Music for not paying royalties to him after he left the label in 1959.[103] The suit was settled out of court in 1986.[104] According to some reports, Michael Jackson allegedly gave him monetary compensation for his work when he co-owned (with Sony-ATV) songs by the Beatles and Penniman, however, according to Penniman himself, while Jackson "own[ed] the Specialty stuff", he still did not get paid for it, though he admitted Jackson had offered him a job with his publishing company as a writer, Penniman refused Jackson's offer.

As a fan, I agree. It was said after his death by a CEO at MJs memorial and people kept repeating it.
What wiki doesn’t mention is that MJ offered him a position for LIFE!!
Little Richard wrote about it back in 2010 for rolling stone.

That was because Paul McCartney taught him the publishing business.

If John was alive and he pulled that shyt to the Beatles catalogue, MJ would have been dead a long time before.

John presumably killed his childhood friend. MJ would have been baby food.

R.I.P. Little Richard
but alas John was worm food and no threat so no need for these cac fantasies, you can go fellate him on reddit.

That's the truth. To clarify, I'm not blaming Mike. It was out of Mike's hands to give Little Richard back his pub, and Little Richard held no ill will towards him.

Once MJ owned ATV i doubt he could’ve just gave him back his publishing. He didn’t buy it outright with cash.

This reporter who interviews MJ for his last Enony interview pretty much says Richard was offered it but the deal fell through

Somewhere along the line it changed to MJ giving it back to him so that wasn’t true.

But ol girl still wrong because MJ never sold Sony 50% of anything.
