He needs LOTS of work on his take down defense and ground game....He is pretty much a better version of Anderson Silva (he is better because he initiates the fight, and doesn't let the fight get boring)...
But these American wrestlers will take him down a la Daniel Cormier/Brock Lesnar style, and lay on top of him with fake ground and pound...
Therefore, I am not convinced that he is ready for top level UFC wrestler fighters...He can definitely KO somebody like Lawler who just moves forward with little head movement...
But a dude like Kevin Gastelum can beat him...

He's right though, he has good submissions against nobodies...he couldn't get cyborg off of him
Cris Cyborg has a black belt in BJJ and is a veteran with 40 fights.
Most wrestlers in UFC don't have any BJJ to really worry about it.
He did zero damage on the back just like Travis Lutter against anderson Silva when he first went to the UFC.
Also Page obviously wanted to knock him out so he could do his dumb ass celebration which was obviously pre planned.
If you can't cause harm to somebody if he was on top that long, it's called good ground defense.
Mcgregor got submitted by a nobody, and came into the UFC and dominated, and the nobody who beat him is still a non factor in the UFC.
The UFC is filled with nobodies except the tops of the divisions lmao.

I'm not undercutting cyborg, but cyborg was never a top guy and is past his prime. He passed with ease through pages guard, you're right he didn't do any thing, a testament to both page and cyborgs ineffectiveness in the crucifix position.
If page fight any of the top wrestlerd in the ufx and they are able to take him down, I don't see him getting off his back without a bunch more work. Which he has time
Silva was a good bbj and has an active guard, two very different animals. Silva would have hurt cyborg in that guard, in fact I think cyborg has previously been hurt recently in guard
Sounds excuses to me. Plenty of MMA fights where people stall on the ground and do nothing.
Page is way better than Silva was when they were the same age. Silva didn't turn into a super beast until he was 30-31, and entered UFC at the height of his ability.

Cyborg took him down and kept him there...That is a MAJOR hole he needs to close...I think if he closes that hole, he is going to be a REAL problem...
