I would have liked for Dyson to be more specific about what he wants Obama to do for blacks. I don't think its fair to compare what was done for gays for instance. Lets keep it real - the discrimination they faced was blatant. No you cant get married. No you cant be in the military. The fact is their civil rights movement is still behind that of people of color.

But again, what would you like to see him do for blacks?

I'm glad he reversed the Iraq escalation and wound down the Afghanistan war. I like the healthcare law, it's going to be benefiting 30mil people within a couple years and puts us on the path towards single payer universal coverage. I like the crack cocaine sentence disparity changes, I like having pro-voter people in change of civil rights departments, I like Holder on criminal issues (less so on most other things). I like the credit card reform bill. I really like the CFPB.
