10 Cane was a premium Trinidadian light rum brand owned by LVMH. Moët Hennessy introduced 10 Cane in 2005
The House of Angostura (English: /æŋɡəˈstjʊərə/), also known as Angostura Limited, is a Trinidad and Tobago company famous for the production of Angostura bitters, invented by the company's founder. The company is also a distiller and is the major producer of rum in Trinidad and Tobago. The company also has been used as a vehicle for international expansion by its parent company, CL Financial. As a result of these acquisitions, the company owns distillers in the United States, Canada, The Bahamas and Suriname.
Kraken Rum was introduced in 2010.[3] The base rum is from Trinidad, distilled from molasses made from locally grown sugar cane. The rum is aged 1–2 years and then blended with a mix of 11 spices, including cinnamon, ginger and clove.[1][4][5] The liquid is black, revealing hints of brown when held up to the light.[6]

J'ouvert is a large street party held annually as part of Carnival in many Caribbean islands and in areas where Caribbean peoples have immigrated. J'ouvert is likely a gallicization of jou ouvè, the Antillean Creole French term meaning "dawn" or "daybreak", as this is the time at which the festival is typically held.
I just read it has to do with slave owner forcing slaves to rescue sugar canes caught in fire.

If they don’t like it - they can leave the country we fought for them to immigrate to

Go back to Trinidad, pick your accents back up, and talk shyt from there - leave every single thing you stole from ADOS while we stayed silent :unimpressed:

Give us back all the scholarships, grants, and every other thing you benefitted from in this country fought for by us in the form of cultural reparations, while you’re at it.
And they’re saying all of this standing on American soil. How many of my Caribbean brothers and sisters “stole” from the Black American culture? I never heard a big deal made about it like this current uproar is being made. The responses to that IG post is damn right stupid, especially the poster who listed all of the offenses by “Non- Caribbean” people. I’m from Brooklyn and I’ve seen too MANY “Juve” incidents created by Caribbean dudes, much more than the “non Caribbean’s” they posted about. This whole separation shyt is STUPID, I hate even talking about this because we’re Black regardless.

I mean I get it, but the strong energy from the twitter folks is like black Americans are always swiping off of them? Ok, there's this one instance, what else?

They seem to be copying the exasperation that black Americans have when we're culturally appropriated when that exasperation seems to be unwarranted for them.

It's like some of these folks are waiting for black Americans to fukk up so they can return pent up negative energy.

I get it, protect your culture, but stop acting like this is de riguer for black Americans.
