There's still a month before free agency so don't take it to the bank but apparently the report about the heat and Wade being very far apart in terms of a contract is 100% true in large part because Riley is trying to sell Wade on less than what he believe his full market value is for another dream scenario in 2016. Never would have thought this 2 days ago but from what I know now this really might be the end of an era.

If Wade leaves, it would be a huge clusterfukk. Heat would end up with a maxed out Dragic, while we wouldn't be good enough to make the offs, and not bad enough to get a great pick.

Based on how many picks the Heat owe; how important Wade is the franchise, and how little cap space/assets have, Riley needs to resign him. I'd max him out for two years and call it a day.

If management doesn't come through with something in the neighborhood of 12.5 per+ it won't even matter, he will take a discount to sign with Cleveland out of spite. Losing him at all is total disaster. With no assets and awful contracts and no draft picks we would be the nets. No long term or short term future.
ehh...if all he wants is 12.5 per then thats reasonable imo. I thought he wanted something like 20+
and to be honest, if he would go to Cleveland and play for the minimum, that would look bad on him more than the Heat. and he could kick rocks if thats the case.
actually the more I think about it, the more laughable it seems. JR and Shump fit with Lebron like a hand in a glove. where exactly would Wad even fit in? especially when Kyrie is already there
