Since 1999 he has more seasons of 10+ losses than he does playoff wins. A grand total of 1 playoff win since 1999. Nothing underrated about that. All he's done since then is sabotage literally every quarterback he's had in that span while beefing with countless star players. He ain't shyt without elway and TD

This. He's just a name. Him and Mike Marts(sp). Eating off of shyt that happen year and years ago in a win now league.

Still better than any coach Miami has had since the Broncos last won the Super Bowl.

I'd rather take him than Austin or Gase.

My fellow Fins fans that are in South Florida. Please start drag racing near the Dolphins facilities in Davie. Hopefully an accident happens and we kill Mike Shannahan before Ross makes another epic mistake. :snoop:

At least if the dolphins take a chance ona coordinator they should do it with a succesful team.
Not a Fan of Patriots Coordinators for obvious reasons but I'd rather take McDaniel than a guy like Gase or Austin.

Where are the Hue Jackson or Mike Shula interviews?

thats all I want.

They should go after Chip

Tannehill might actually be successful in his system and the weapons are already in place

Just continue to build the oline and defense

Might need another RB if they don't keep Miller but i REALLY like Ajayi

Tannehill will only be successful if he has a solid game behind him. And im talking a POWER running game. Not the cute speedy backs like Lamar Miller but the bruiser between the tackles "3 yards and a cloud of dust" types.
No disrespect to MIller. He's very good. Just not what we need.

I like Ajayi. Reminds me of Ricky [Williams] minus the speed.

But either way that still doesnt mean Tannehill didnt stink it up tis year. He had all the weapons at his disposal.
  • Our WRs were top notch. Parker (who is a beast) was out all year until last 6 games but Matthews who ive been telling people was Brandon Marshall lite showed everyone what me and Omar Kelly saw in him 2 years ago.
  • He also had 2 good TEs and decent RBs to work with.

I know we had some OL issues but HE (Tannehill) failed to hold his end of the bargain this year after he got all that money. Thus why i didnt liek TannenBaum. Giving an unproven player like Tannehill an extension was dumb. Think got Aponte/Hickey put an out clause out of the contract so we can dump him if needed and walk away with no cap hit after next season.

And im a big Tannehill fan, BTW

4200 yards
24 tds 12 ints. With the worst Oline in the league
losing your head coach and coordinator a few games in to season
no commitment to the running game
did I mention the worst Oline in the league?
worst coaching staff in the league?

even after the change of coordinators they didn't run the ball like they should have.
They had 1 1/2 reliable receivers
Stills is still unreliable
Jennings was absolute garbage
Cameron underperformed like crazy
Sims got knocked out and never played the same after that.

Ajayi was good when he had a chance
Miller was great when they gave him the ball
Williams was trash all year.

Tannehill is 4th ALL TIME in passing yards in his first 4 seasons
FOURTH!!...in the history of the NFL!!

Dude is more than capable, he just needs better coaches and a much better line.

He was also ranked 4th in the league with passes over 40 yards
and 6th in the league with passes over 20
(so much for not having a long ball)

I don't know about Shanny at this point. He's still known as a great coach but he struggled his last few years in Denver and his Redskins tenure was not a success at all with only one winning season. Feels like they should be going for the best fit instead of the biggest name but if they think it's Shanahan then I guess we will see what he has left in the tank. Cause the Dolphins actually have some talent and are ready to win now.
