Chavez Jr I believe is married to El Chapo's daughter lol
Nah, it will go the distance. Chavez is durable against smaller guys like Canelo. He gets hurt when fighting guys his own size. There's an enormous skill gap I don't think Canelo has the size or power to get him out of there. I would give a slight chance for a corner stoppage but too much pride on the line for that in this fightPretty much going to be a repeat of that...
This fools going to try and bully Jalisco red and get his ass KTFO...
Red has never struggled with this type of brawler so I expect quick work...
even sergio had chavez on shaky legs in their fight. canelo might not be able to hurt him with one shot, but he can definitely hurt him with an accumulation. I don't care how big you are, nobody is taking repeated canelo bombs like nothing. it will most likely get stopped on cuts. the body work alone will break chavez down by the mid rounds. stamina will be on E then it's just target practice.Nah, it will go the distance. Apparently Chavez Jr is already down to around 175lbs with over a month left
What are you inferring breh? Cinnamon's still going to have Jr. questioning things in the ring real quick with deep thoughts. Oh, Canelo is faster than Sergio, wow, he that left hook came faster than Fonfara's, why did Sports Illustrated style on my daddy all those years ago that with that cover. Jr. will be stressing breh. This is all manufactured hype because I don't think this wil be close. Canelo should be stepping up and beating GGG next but we'll see what Oscar's coke budget will allow for.
Canelo isn't a great mover but he has a slick upper body and head movement, his defense isn't even in the same league as Chavez's. Plus he is a counter puncher who has great handspeed and puts together nice combinations.Canelo SHOULD be able to beat Jr but history's shown more times than not that size does play a part when you match up certain styles. If Canelo was a great mover, proven puncher at 160 and above, wasn't too much a spot fighter I'd say we'll probably see a virtuoso performance from Canelo. Chavez has been fighting nothing but Middleweights / Light Heavyweights so I think he'll be able to take Canelo's best punch. Canelo is better in every dept than Chavez. What Chavez has going for him is size and being able to pressure Canelo which I don't believe will be Canelo's approach. That being said, I expect him to win but wouldn't be overly shocked to see some late f*ckery to occur . Canelo will likely fight Lemieux after this. That GGG fight isn't happening.

On May 5, 2016, Álvarez celebrated T-Mobile Arena's first boxing event with a knockout of Amir "King" Khan. Álvarez last fought on September 17, 2016, knocking out the previously undefeated WBO junior middleweight champion Liam Smith. Chávez, Jr. was last in action on December 10, 2016, when he secured a unanimous decision victory over highly-regarded German fighter Dominik Britsch.
Álvarez says, "Julio César Chávez, Sr. is one of the best, if not the best fighter in history. I grew up watching him and learned a lot from him, but that won't have any influence when I fight his son... I want to remind you that when two Mexican fighters face-off, a spectacular show is guaranteed, and I can assure you that May 6 will be no exception."
"This is going to be a tough fight. Every fight is important, and this one especially because it is between two Mexicans fighting each other for the glory," Julio César Chávez, Jr. said. "I'm going to win, but my country will too, because this is the fight that boxing needs."
Oscar De La Hoya, Chairman and CEO of Golden Boy Promotions said, "Mexican boxing is the best, and when you have these two top boxers who want to give the best to the fans, we couldn't pass it up. Canelo, the biggest boxing star, will take on not only a former world champion in Julio César Chávez, Jr., but the son of the biggest star in the history of boxing in Mexico."
"There's nothing like seeing these warriors - Canelo Álvarez and Julio César Chávez, Jr. - do battle, larger than life, on the big screen," John Rubey, CEO of Fathom Events said. "It's like having a real ring-side experience in your local cinema surrounded by other fans!"
he can down all them memo michelada's all he wants, he still gettin fukked up. this loss is going to completely destroy him emotionally. his whole career he's hid behind the excuse that he never trained hard because he's an insecure little fakkit who can't handle failure. by saying he didn't train hard, he can always look back and say nobody beat him at his best. he can always look back and say "if I trained hard I could've been one of the greats"......he's like them bum ass rappers with hoop dreams....talkin about they busted kobe's ass in high school and could've been in the league if they didn't get caught up in the game ......but I love this shyt. because he's finally "going hard"....he's putting his heart and soul into this fight. his father is more involved in his life than ever. he's giving Jr. one last chance to earn his respect. the pressure keeps building for Jr. and when the day comes, he's gonna implode like a little bytch. and this time he'll have no more excuses to hide behind. he will know that canelo completely demolished him at his best. he will finally have to accept the cold hard truth. that he's a fukkin bum who's a disgrace to his last name. little julio will never be the same again after this fight. this sounds like hyperbole but i'm dead ass serious. canelo gonna mentally ruin this kid:ChavezCry:5 more weeks putos
