• cutscenes are all real time
• 900p in docked, 720p handheld
• no AA
• the game plays with camera in ways that can only be done in 3D and HD
• movement is great
• lots of animation blending
• fluid simulation looks greats
• environment-based film grain
• particles update at 30Hz
• framerate and frame time is 99% stable
• stutter does happen, possibly due to streaming
• cutscenes are in 30fps
• 5.1 surround sound supported
• John thinks it's the best audio design of 2021
• lots of Another World allusions
• the best Mercury Steam game yet

The game also runs at a stable 60fps

Ionno...I don't see that being better than Returnal's.

I think it's the same timing each time but it's different for every EMMI, if you understand what I mean. I think you have to oress it exactly when it flashes, if you see the flash, your too late. Each EMMI I run into the harder it gets.

I'd say I get less lost with this than Super, but there's very little handholding. The handholding that's there isn't even real handholding, it's just "you'd have to be a dumbass to not go this way right now"

I couldnt tell if it was handheld or just my busted joy-con ruining it but the aiming, jumping and parry felt like you need a more precise and form fitting controller than what the joy cons offer. It just doesn’t feel right but I’m not a handheld player in general
