Metro Boomin vs Hit Boy (Influenced By @Ziggiy)

Metro has more hits, more bangers, and was That Guy for longer. An entire generation of producers have been influenced by him, he crafted a sound that dominated for years etc. Hell he'd win this off his songs with Future alone. I just don't see an argument for Hit Boy that doesn't boil down to "but he makes beats for my favorite artist." That's not what this question is about.

Nah bad and boujee is more along the lines of what Metro normally does Nikkas in Paris is way more left field and still a bigger hit. And I didn’t even mention Hitboys work with Mariah Carey Beyoncé and the likes.

All three of those beats sound different, that's the point. Hit Boy has worked with Mariah Carey and Beyonce...Metro has worked with James Blake and Weeknd. They're both diverse.

Being too versatile is bad thing. Because then its like youre trying do everything because you arent good at ONE thing. Metro is versatile but he still follows a formula, as he and every producer should. If it ever came down to the industry having to pick one and getting rid of the other, Metro would be favored because people can identify his sound. WTF does a Hit Boy beat even sound like? Hes talented, but lacks individualism. Its almost like hes abandoning listeners because hes in and out of different styles/trends and the consumer cant gravitate towards him like they would Metro or Southside.
