It’s funny how the media pick and chooses when to care

I find it interesting that Dr Dre has an extremely long and volent history of female abuse and was just inducted into the rock n roll hof and his artist is considered the biggest rapper at the moment

Yet is Kendrick ever asked about Dre? Seems to be no outcry about this at all

Dre beat the shyt out of Dee Barnes

J Cole has come out and condemned Nas over Hear say

I find it very interesting that during all Dre, Eminem or Kendrick media runs past never seems to get discussed

Going by what point they are driving with this shyt Dre should be getting the Bill Cosby treatment

When Straight Outta Compton came out, there was plenty of discussion over Dre abusing women. Mainly because it was left out of the movie.

Everyone knew about that shyt, but I guess the media felt the need to remind everyone of who Dre was 25 years ago.

I don’t see white media bringing up how Sean Connery said unapologetically that he has no problem smacking a woman around.

I read an article in the LA times about the singer Ella Mai and here are some quotes in which they mention her collab with chris brown:
Mai is similarly gratified to have collaborated with Brown in “Whatchamacallit,” a throbbing duet about a passionate but vaguely defined relationship. (“It ain’t cheating,” they sing in harmony, “It’s a whatchamacallit.”)

Yet some have questioned Mai’s choice to feature the polarizing R&B star, who pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna in 2009, on an album that otherwise seems to emphasize an idea of womanly self-reliance.

“I knew it would come,” she said of the criticism. “But I’ve been a Chris Brown fan since I was 11 years old. A lot of how I sing, stylistically and melody-wise, is from him. So to me, it’s about the music.

“Not that what people do outside of music isn’t important — it’s very important,” she went on. “But people forget that everyone is human and everyone makes mistakes. There’s a whole lot of people in the industry that have done stuff that…”
She trailed off, then added, “Everyone’s morals and values are different. And if we really got down to the nitty-gritty, then no one would work with anyone.”

I'm not a big CB fan but the media never does this with white celebrities with a troubled past. They always have to bring it up if you're black though.
