I always wished they would collab more. A meth/ugod track duribg the golden era on some chez chez la ghost or even harder, woulda been great. It took him until 421 to end up on a meth album.

Deck, ugod and mk are utlity players. They werent meant to be stars but to add variety, make a true anything could happen vibe to wu, while the “star” members went off.

Deck is leadoff base stealer. Weakest solo in group yet the one guy people thinknof when they think wu aka triumph, protect ya neck lead off, cream. Perfect group member. Can bat and field.


Mk slows it down and drops knowledge. Like a student in training, hes there to repeat his lessons on song. He developed nicely into a full artist imo and one of the best all around in the end. Guy makes damn good rnb soul tracks for as monotone and pidgeonholed as he was.


Ugod is the boom. Comes in and out real fast to change it up out the blue. PYN, investigative reports, etc. he proved himself on forever snd been one of their best group members on clan albums.

These guys make the other guys shine harder. Wu tabg isnt just a bunch if guys fighting for spots. Rza really was a scientist how each guy got his own sound and his formula for putting them together that worked in everyones favor. The verses and differences in style build things up until that one guy comes in and shuts the track down completely (winter wars for example).

Nothing to pause. You got to realise these dudes have all known each other for at least 30 years at this point, some of them are actual family, some of them like Mef & U God were close back when they were younger. I’ve headed and read stories about Uey holding Med down when he was slangin and U went to jail or something but still made sure Mef had work and money and shyt like that. Apparently Meth and U were very toght and U has a kid by Mefs sister or something. Mef is the youngest and he’s in his 50s now so Uey gotta be mid 50s at least they’ve known each other for 40 years and been pretty close the entire time.

That's deeper than most blood relatives. Hell, the modern black family unity, which is fractured, could learn more than a few things about Wu Tang.

Glad that they acknowledged each other as legends, and more importantly, family.

I've seen young people make all sorts of wild comments about Wu Tang.

I witnessed Wu's introduction in real time.

Even me, I never insulted or made comments about Led Zeppelin, or Curtis Mayfield who were before my time.

I researched them hard, and only saluted them.

You are different. You're someone who put the work in and studied the history. I respect you get people like you alot.
