I feel like that shyt would go hard with the right people making the game

Budget. Series is in the bullet-hell genre, which never translated well into third-person 3d until very recently (Returnal, Nier to an extent).

Controller support will be added in the final game but it's not in the demo

The UI is actually kind of cumbersome and tbh, I just wasn't feeling it all that much. Felt like firing up MAME and playing the classics instead.
