Metal Gear Solid 4 Appreciation Thread

Has anyone actually replayed this game? I played it once and never revisited it. Still have a PS3 so it's possible I could revisit it but I think replaying it might damage my memory of it. I don't think it's as good a game as the experience I remember.

The first 2 acts were really good

Definitely enjoyed it. I think I'm one of the few people that prefers playing as Solid Snake as opposed to Big Boss.

MGS4 Went down as one of the best games of all time story, graphics, music, action.

But the ending with solid snake was so fukking bittersweet solid snake saved the world and he's gonna die from old age because of some sort
Of. Bullshyt super virus he got in the first game with no cure?! all the people he met along the way. Dude literally went through hell and couldn't get a happy ending?!?

The menu theme still slaps game will forever be in my top 5

i loved this game when it first came out. prob wouldn't replay it unless it got a proper remaster without that ugly sepia ps3 filter

Got my ps3 when this game dropped. Kojima&Friends really squeezed the most outta that cell processor. Metal Gear online was dope too.

Still have the game. Still have a PS3. Still remember this as an amazing gaming event. Haven’t touched it since that initial playthrough. I’m certain it won’t hold up because after the first 2 acts the game takes a nose dive.

Story wise it’s great imo
