last night i saw two Afram/black dominated teams play against each other for the championship.

Show me anywhere in the beautiful game with that same dynamic:camby:

Why did you make this thread?

Because to me, with idiotic comments like this, it looks to me you're just spoiling for an argument.

Instead of trying to understand how and why soccer has influenced the African diaspora, you'd rather belittle the achievements of black athletes. Sad.

And what positions would MJ and Kobe be dominant in?
any one they chose damn near
but they like putting #'s on the board so put them up front at center forward
the have dominant size explosiveness extremely efficient neurological systems

with a lifetime of training they could do whatever they wanted on the pitch

this was not about what's more popular
football/soccer is centered around skill
basketball is more about elite athleticism

messi/cristiano would never be dominant basketball players even if they practiced all their lives
but mj/kobe damn sure could be dominant football/soccer players with a lifetime of training
football/soccer has the edge when it comes to skill but basketballs best athletes blow them out the water

*
You can never compare these two sports, they are soooo different. The other you using your hands, the other your feet. Soccer pitch is huge compared to a basketball court.

Football is played for 90 mins & intense throughout, basketball you play with intensity in short bursts with many short breaks

These two sports are incomparable

MJ and Kobe would be goalkeepers because of their height, provided they are agile enough I could see it working.
Any other position and they would fail, at some point height becomes a disadvantage not an advantage.

Cristiano Ronaldo is 6'2 and an incredible athlete, I can see him being a point guard provided he trained his entire life.

sure if you add world class training to the once in a generation athleticism they have
that's a sensible conclusion to draw

:troll:

okay so how come a once in a generation soccer athlete cant excel in your sport again?
Usain bolt is once in a lifetime athlete are you saying he could play soccer and football but not basketball either?

Zlatan is the only forward I know of with NBA height who became world class, like I said before Size does not equal success in this sport. Messi is 5'7 and he's possibly the greatest of all time in part due to his short stature which gives him a lower center of gravity.

height is always a benefit they'd be the ill target men in the center
and still be elite enough to dribble circles around defenders and hold them off the ball etc.

crissy could come off the bench maybe if he worked real hard
and 6'2 is being generous be real jahahahahaa

I disagree

Most players of their size have poor ball control, are slow, Are easily marked, or other handicaps. In addition soccer is much more physical (way more contact is allowed plus 90 minutes games with only three subs)

Lebron and Kobe could be good center forwards but they don't fit the skill set/profile of the best forwards

Not to mention center forwards are dying out as a position:francis:

What triggered me and had me so completely outraged:mjgrin:

Was the disrespect for Michael jordan's skill and legacy shown by negropeans which is an attack on the sport of basketball.

So i posted highlights from mj and kobe to put nikkas in they place. So far with three pages in. Nobody has addressed the original post i made

because he was more of a basketball player than a soccer player. That simple

you can compare the athletes though
i already gave football/soccer the edge on skill and endurance

but on everything else basketball blows them away
and skill endurance can be trained for height top tier explosiveness etc. you're born with its more rare
