The young girl that just died from BBL surgery lived here in KCK, I'm close with a couple of people who were acquainted with her. They say she used her tax refund money to get down there and have the surgery. Her baby is barely over a year old.

This takes me back to that Rah Digga thread where she said black women do these type of things because of black men. Nah, black women do these type of things to compete with other women for the top men. It don't matter how dark, nappy headed, overweight, flat-bootied, itty-bitty titty you are... there is a man (hell, men) that will love you on this Earth.
The problem is these women don't want those men, they want the cream of the crop, so they find ways to boost their "stock", move up the ranks, and try to catch a trapper/rapper/baller/scammer.
Men can't control what they're attracted to.

I'm conflicted. On one hand, its their body to do with what they choose. On the other hand, those choices are shaped by how our society socializes women in terms of what physical attributes should be desired. Hyper femininity plays a key role in pressuring women into altering and, sometimes, destroying their bodies. So the answer isn't expanding false notions of beauty to accommodate a diverse collection of body types. The answer is to do away with those notions all together. Let women exist outside of physical attractiveness. I'm somewhat saddened by the above videos to be honest.
Exactly. I hate this passing the buck when it comes to shyt like surgery. They could EASILY eat less and exercise. Like that's the whole thing people are discrediting. You want better men in your life, but you are too greedy to do the work or sacrifice. So you cut your body open, and risk fukking death because of that.

What I am saying is if you are doing all of these enhancements for attention, then complain about said attention, I have a problem with that.
They know it will attract more males, they know it will increase the number of catcalls, and they will still complain about the effects.
They are making these enhancements to increase attention/reactions about some insecurity they have.

I don't feel its necessary for women to get all these surgeries and shyt but they're gonna do what they wanna do anyway regardless of how I feel about it. 
I think it sets a bad precedent for women to follow by believing they don't have to work for and earn shyt. On top of that women get all arrogant and act as if they deserve praise for getting a surgery.
