You are right. They didnt intend to. Both "dating" and "college graduates " in this article were euphemisms. It wasnt trying to explain any of that.

Dating in this context meant marriage, as the article repeated the phrase marry/marriage/marryable more times than it even used the word "date".


College graduates in this article seems to have meant people in their 30s/40s. As shown in this segment
