Woman charged after prominent pastor shot and killed at bar​

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC/Gray News) - A woman was charged in the death of a pastor outside of a bar early Wednesday morning.

Authorities say Samantha Marion, 42, shot Ricky Floyd outside of Momma’s Bar in Memphis, Tenn., just after 1:20 a.m. on Wednesday.

Witnesses say Marion and Floyd got into an argument that ended outside of the bar. According to police, surveillance footage showed Floyd throwing Marion’s phone to the ground and
throwing a beer can.

Floyd began to drive away, but stopped and got out of the vehicle and walked back toward Marion, who then shot him.

Floyd, who was the senior lead pastor at Pursuit of God Transformation Center, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Marion is charged with voluntary manslaughter.
