They signed him at the beginning of the brand split with no plans for him, it worked out for him now but he was Curt Hawkins status for most of his first year.

Both shows are thriving now. Nia Jax is improving after a sloppy patch, and she is getting that Braun pop regularly.

Bayley has recovered after getting exposed for having minimal promo skills. Even Mickie James had a good segment with Alexa Bliss.

Natalya is getting a veteran run in SD land, Charlotte returned after laying low to play challenger, and Carmella is Ms. Money in the Bank. Naomi and Becky are great babyfaces and former champions for the division.

The Mae Young crop put a fire under asses across every women's division, imho.

Both shows have great female talent, good role players, and strong archetypes to play with...it's just the writing that needs work.

Taking a championship and two weekly matches away would absolutely and unnecessarily hamper half the ladies I mentioned in my original post.
