Actually one of the doper things about the nWo angle was that they DID have heels and faces fighting off the invasion.

They just need to stop trying to recreate that angle. It was a special set of circumstances that allowed it to work, it's not gonna work again.

side note:

I hate how in most promotions when heels turn face they're magically fogiven by everyone. That was a big part of why Orton's first face turn failed. He did horrible shyt to everyone on the roster so fans didn't buy the other faces suddenly being in his corner.

Tazz won't do anything physical because of his neck, so I have to wonder why he's even involved in this storyline. It makes no sense that nobody ever gives him a beatdown; he sits behind the announcers' desk, it's not like he's hard to find.

Edge and Orton's face turns were hillarious when cena embraced them...orton destroyed HHH's whole family, kicked his dad in law in the head, rko'd his wife and kissed her in the mouth...he invaded Orton's house...

but HHH keeps him employed and would probably tag with him against brock lesnar and big show

Edge went to Cena's house, beat up his dad, all that...Cena was friends with him during his last face turn

Orton dragged cena's dad out of the audience, punted him in the head, beat him down for an entire summer...now they're pals and hugged backstage on camera

One of the things I love about the Austin/Rock and Rock/HHH rivalries is that regardless of who is a heel or a face they always have a lingering animosity between them. They show mutual respect but they're never on some buddy buddy shyt (save that margaritaville promo between Rock and Austin).
