It was at the Staples Center for years before this. It doesnt matter where you move it. If you burned out your home market, you are FAILING as a brand.
They just had a show in MSG just not to long ago where AJ beat Owens for the U.S. title in nyc that sold out.
At some point fans are going to just get tired and say fukk it I will watch one or two events only because of time, money, interest. NXT just doesn't have the same buzz after calling everybody up. They haven't replace a lot of the star power they called up so no surprised the interest isn't the same.

There's just nothing about this year's 14 hour ass Summerslam that screams Must See. So you already got fans on the fence, then to boost the ticket prices higher, of course some people are gonna be like, "Nah."

If SS isn't exciting, then how is Raw/SD going to be? Coupled with Takeover generally delivering, although NXT as a whole seemingly not as exciting as it once was. At this point they oughta start selling heavily discounted rate tix that allow you to have the same damn seat for all of the shows that weekend.

Of course they haven't.

NXT, is a good wrestling brand, with no buzz at all. The main event is a main event suitable for a High School gym, and i like Drew, but no one is clamoring for McIntyre/Roode. Asuka/Ember, no buzz, Asuka's time to move on. AOP vs. Sanity, just horrible. Only one i`m into is Black vs. Itami

Summerslam is garbage outside of the 4 way main event.

They did a horrible job booking this years second biggest show

Facts

Also, the cheapest seats available on Ticcetmaster are in Section 9 (red area) for $400 EACH, before fees

So I bet after fees you're looking at $500 for one person. Over a G if you have one kid and want to take them :dahell: and that's before food, merch, and travel expenses if you're coming from out of town

To see this trash azz card. They wilding. I went to Summerslam 10 years ago and for that section (red area with a good view of the ring) I don't think I spent $400 on 2 seats after all fees and shyt

And basically, who "has to" go to this show? if you're in NYC, they already told you they'll c bacc next year
If you are in Boston or Upstate NY or Philadelphia, you can sit out this overpriced episode of Raw and just wait til a PPV comes to your city

edit: plus, everyone knows scalpers are gonna have to take that L again so people that are on the fence about going are just gonna try to come up on Sunday afternoon on Stubhub

I'm saying tho :mindblown:

Who the fukk is gonna pay 500 for this struggle card.:merchant:
Shot would've sold out if they made it cheaper

:dwillhuh:

And you like Drew? :scusthov: He's just as bland as he was in his first WWE run.

Hence why they're bringing in former NXT champs to "host" Takeover.

Just doing too much.

If just the Takeover/PPV were in Brooklyn itd probably be a slightly different story, though it seems pricing is wild right now. Selling 9032849308 hours of wrestling in 4 days is wild, especially when you jsut had a Madison Square Garden show.

Then they're probably coming back to NYC for a Thanksgiving or Christmas show three months later.
