Maybe in NY but certianly not nationally. Melo never has and likely never will encounter the level of vitriol that Kobe recieved in his heydday let alone Bron. You have people nationally as well as locally in other cities not named Cleveland rooting for Bron to fail. Melo's not even close. Russ and or Dwight got next.

That's why I said after lebron and Kobe

Lets be real linsanity got Melo alot more haters . Everyday on espn they was talking about if Melo can co-exist when he was hurt, to the point that his syracuse coach and kenyon martin had to defend this nikka. This year its only gonna be more haters

I said before that Melo is the only person in the league who gets punished for playing iso ball, when damn near every other player does it.

I know I'm not the only one that seen that shyt.

everybody knows melo is an inefficient chucker.

the reason why the melo hate isn't stronger is because nobody expects him to win a championship.

he'll still get criticized but it won't be "most hated" status

There is a difference between hate and legitimate criticism. It was a legitimate question as to whether Melo and Lin could co-exist especially afte Melo had his struggles this year. Nobody is actually hating on him though. You can best believe that Kobe or Bron would have no peace if they went one and done in the playoffs for 8 out of 9 years. Melo didnt' even get a fraction of the heat Bron did after he forced his way to NY last year. Funny how we didn't lament over small markets after that went down. It was like a celebration on ESPN when he touched down in NY. It was basically :stylin::stylin: "The Knicks are Back!" :stylin::stylin:. If Melo was hated then more of his team failures over the last 9 years would stick to him. Kobe caught all the heat for the Lakers struggles after Shaq left. Bron has caught all the heat for every L that every squad he's played on has taken. Even T-Mac and KG pre Sam/Spree caught more heat than Melo has. He barely gets criticized, let alone hated.

Melo barely gets criticized you serious right now. He caught ALL OF THE FLACK FOR NY STRUGGLING LAST YEAR. Yall keep saying Kobe and Bron get more hate, yes I agree but after that its Melo. This nikka still gets booed in NY. If you cant agree that linsanity got melo alot more hate, I'm not sure what to tell you, the whole damn nba did a consensus heel turn on Melo after linsanity. He was the villan.

Melo is credited for ruining amare, linsanity and the knicks young core by forcing a trade.

He is not as hated as bron or kobe. But after that its Melo. Also KG never caught more heat that Melo the general consensus was KG needed more help, he won the MVP. The general consensus on Melo is that he is fat, lazy a inefficient chucker and he doesn't play D, that's not criticism its hate. I literally argue with nikkas everyday that KG was in the same scenario as Melo, no one even knows or cares, because KG got a ring, those first round exits are forgotten.

I never seen anyone besides a couple Melo fans say Melo needed more help.

It'll STILL be Lebron.... The arguments will just switch... I watched it happen with Kobe... It went like this ...

"he can't win without Shaq!!!" *he wins 2 without Shaq*

"he'll never get 6 like Jordan!!!"

And if he was to get 6 it'll go..... "Jordan never lost a finals!!!!"

I'd be curious to know how people claiming Kobe is one of the most hated reconcile that with him having the best selling jersey internationally. I am inclined to think that it's more persecution-complex influenced thinking from Kobe-stans/Lakers fans.

The consensus on KG was that regardless of the 20, 10,5 he put up his teams weren't making it out of the first round so it was his fault. His first round exits are forgetten now but at the time it was all you heard about, along with T-Mac. Melo doesn't have to wear it like they did.

Even though those things have been said about Melo you don't hear them all day every day nationally or locally in other cities. Beyond that all of those things were related to his game and there's a certain truth to them all. Bron and Kobe before him caught heat for how they carried themselves and other petty shyt as well as team performance regardless of other contributing factors. Bron caught heat for leaving back to back 60 win teams. Kobe caught heat for getting Shaq traded. How much heat has Melo caught for leaving a Denver team that has actually done better than the Knicks since he left? Bron caught heat for leaving a small market and moving to a slightly bigger one, Melo didnt' catch anywhere near the heat for moving to the biggest market there is. Bron caught heat for teaming up with Wade, don't recall too much being made of Melo teaming with Amare. Can yo imagine what would have been said about Bron if the Heat were only a 7th seed and got bounced in 5? It's not even close. As I said before Russell and Dwight have caught way more heat in just this season than Melo has caught in his entire career. Melo isn't anywhere near the top of the hate list.

Kobe was hated after the rape trial and more so for the Shaq trade. It's amazing what a couple rings can do for you.

It'll still be bron... Then i think it'll be Russ, nikkas hate dude because he's not cp3/rondo and all they all dikkride Durant. They already try and make him to be the problem. And if they lose the finals it'll be "can kd win with Westbrook, blah blah"
