Explain to me how their team having a better record is proof of them being better when The Hawks have a better team all around, and Jokic played for a team that has been actively pursuing the playoffs, while MELO plays for a team that has been in tank mode for months now.

Maybe because both guys are the engines that drive their teams? I've never seen so many excuses for a "Top 15" player who can't make the playoffs in the weak East. Jokic is the reason the Nuggets made the playoff push, everyone remembers what they looked like when he was coming off the bench, and Millsap is the reason the Hawks are even in contention for a spot. You gotta be kidding me, trying to paint the Hawks out as vastly more talented than the Knicks, nah the difference is their best player actually plays defense at a high level.
