No, biracials are looked at as White in Brazil because of self-hate and White = Better mentality. African-Americans have this to a degree but it was muffled with the Black power movement...African-Americans like Malcolm X stood up and said "I'm Black and I'm beautiful and ain't shyt wrong with being Black" damn near 60 years ago...this awakening is JUST now happening in Brazil. The Latin powers (Portugal and Spain) were sneaky because they oppressed the people based on race like in the USA but pretended that it was a class issue...this made the race issue largely invisible to the populace. The Africans weren't able to see that the commonality in the poverty was their Blackness...instead they saw themselves as simply poor Puerto Ricans, poor Brazilians, and etc...they identify with their nationality before their race and they are suffering for it. African-Americans identify with their race more than their nationality...
Stopped reading right there, you dont know how an autonomous society works. If you deviate from the majority you are no longer considered part of them. A biracial anything can no longer fit into the equation of a homogeneous society. This isn't up for debate, I dont care what the fukk you say go into any part of the world and ask them this and their answer is the same especially if the phenotype is a huge deviation.
There's levels.
I wouldn't let her say the n word
But I wouldn't call it bucking if a black guy wifed her either.
But when somebody like her also has a white husband, then they are white.
My rule was always if you bi-racial then your race is the race of your kids.
Example;
Tia = Black Woman
Tamara = White Woman
Black in America, NEVER MEANT 100% AFRICAN.
If you have roots in the United States, you would know this.
She is black
In many ways the United States being so racist. Using things like the one drop rule, helped us ideologically. In a country like Brazil, miscegenation has caused division amongst the descendents of Slaves there. Socially being mixed means you're not black.
In America we knew our conditions were because of our race. Things like the one drop rule makes that abundantly clear. Being a descendent of an African meant you were black. Socially being mixed meant you're black.
Makes senseBiracials are .... Biracials.
Why you blaming us for the one drop rule? We have to acknowledge it because it's our reality here in the USA. I have cousins that are light AF but like me they won't go to the bank in their gym clothes cuz they already know it's gonna be some shyt. This is why we need to judge Black people based on their ideology and not on their skin color because White supremacy treats us all as one big nikka anyways. If you think like "us" you are us, if you think like "them" you are them...IDGAF if you 100% African born in a shack in the Congo wilderness...if you subscribe to White supremacy you're not "us".
I didn't think she was black in Suits until I saw dude from the Wire as her father.
And they see it as a winMarry into the family that literally helped pop off the trans atlantic slave trade in the USA mulatto brehettes
