No, biracials are looked at as White in Brazil because of self-hate and White = Better mentality. African-Americans have this to a degree but it was muffled with the Black power movement...African-Americans like Malcolm X stood up and said "I'm Black and I'm beautiful and ain't shyt wrong with being Black" damn near 60 years ago...this awakening is JUST now happening in Brazil. The Latin powers (Portugal and Spain) were sneaky because they oppressed the people based on race like in the USA but pretended that it was a class issue...this made the race issue largely invisible to the populace. The Africans weren't able to see that the commonality in the poverty was their Blackness...instead they saw themselves as simply poor Puerto Ricans, poor Brazilians, and etc...they identify with their nationality before their race and they are suffering for it. African-Americans identify with their race more than their nationality...

In many ways the United States being so racist. Using things like the one drop rule, helped us ideologically. In a country like Brazil, miscegenation has caused division amongst the descendents of Slaves there. Socially being mixed means you're not black.

In America we knew our conditions were because of our race. Things like the one drop rule makes that abundantly clear. Being a descendent of an African meant you were black. Socially being mixed meant you're black.

She married into the british royal family, that alone should let you know that this hoe ain't black. Diana got crossed out for sleeping with an arab you think the royal family gonna dilute their carefully inbred lineage with some nikka genes? for this reason I doubt she has ANY black in her whatsoever, Meghan is the only child her father thomas had with that black woman they claim is her mother, i dont believe thats her mother personally.

Stopped reading right there, you dont know how an autonomous society works. If you deviate from the majority you are no longer considered part of them. A biracial anything can no longer fit into the equation of a homogeneous society. This isn't up for debate, I dont care what the fukk you say go into any part of the world and ask them this and their answer is the same especially if the phenotype is a huge deviation.

To say that biracials identifying as White in Brazil is merely because West African genetics dominate the society thus making anyone mixed an "other" is disingenuous. You are ignoring the fact that biracialism offers people a means of disassociating them from the underclass that is constantly demonized and minimized in every facet of their society. Your explanation makes perfect sense in a place like Norway where if you have a drop of anything else you automatically stand out as everyone around you is Nordic. It doesn't apply as cleanly in a melting pot with a system of White dominance and superiority manifesting itself in every facet of society.

It's disingenuous and dangerous to remove White supremacy as a factor in how people self-identify.

There's levels.

I wouldn't let her say the n word:mjpls:

But I wouldn't call it bucking if a black guy wifed her either.

But when somebody like her also has a white husband, then they are white.

My rule was always if you bi-racial then your race is the race of your kids.
Example;

Tia = Black Woman

Tamara = White Woman

Black in America, NEVER MEANT 100% AFRICAN.

If you have roots in the United States, you would know this.

Because black in America refers to race and ethnicity.

The one drop rule can shape a cultural reality (the ethnicity) but not a biological one (race).

AA as an ethnic group includes black and biracials.

She is black

She's bi-racial or half black

Props! You hit the nail on the head. Yes, Britain created an us vs. them mentality because they told us from day one "y'all are n1663rs and will never be us ever" and emphasized it through slavery, Black Codes, Jim Crow, and etc. Now, the Latin powers felt the same exact way about us Blacks but never expressed it as explicitly. They let the Africans blend in a bit more with society thus causing them to lose their identity...a lot of them ended up seeing their poverty as classism rather than racism which IMO is one of the worst crimes Europe has committed in the western world. They feel the effects of White supremacy but can't put their finger on it...where as African-Americans can point directly to who are enemy is.

Why you blaming us for the one drop rule? We have to acknowledge it because it's our reality here in the USA. I have cousins that are light AF but like me they won't go to the bank in their gym clothes cuz they already know it's gonna be some shyt. This is why we need to judge Black people based on their ideology and not on their skin color because White supremacy treats us all as one big nikka anyways. If you think like "us" you are us, if you think like "them" you are them...IDGAF if you 100% African born in a shack in the Congo wilderness...if you subscribe to White supremacy you're not "us".

Marry into the family that literally helped pop off the trans atlantic slave trade in the USA mulatto brehettes
And they see it as a win :mjlol:
You know they call her all sorts of names both to her face and behind her back and she cant do a damn thing about it lmao

Sidenote: blackness has sociocultural and biological components. Dark skinned south asians with straight hair are not black because they do not meet the sociocultural requirements. Conversely someone like Sean Paul or beyonce are very light but they are socio culturally black through their generational and current connections to black culture.

Meaghan markle is not socio culturally connected to blackness and isnt clearly black from appearance alone. People who see themselves in her are often black journalists looking to write a story for their next paycheque. Otherwise its black women who are desperate for any sort of representation in traditionally white spaces because they erroneously associate wealthy white spaces with prestige.
