I bet it was an intellectual property deal more than anything else. Rare providing help, characters, guidance etc.

Rare might have 1 or 2 guys working with Double Helix or it could be a whole team. We'll probably never know.

I agree with both of y'all. It's not so much that RARE's not working on it that is disconcerting but that Double Helix is. Who the fukk are these guys? You think they can make a decent fighter? Because their track record says they can't even make a decent GAME!

No, that is not to say that it is applicable for every studio but I'm sure Microsoft has hired some people to oversee this.

If they wanted a good game, they should have hired good developers. Middle management and money doesn't undo that in my humble opinion. I'm not saying it's going to be total basura. But I am saying I don't think it will compete with all the great fighters that are out there already.

KI was never a great fighter as it was a good fighter. It was always second tier at best. Pure graphical showcase.
