Cali is the most populous state.....so it makes sense they'd have more winners.

Problem is Texas is #2 and almost never has winners. Florida has a smaller population than Texas and seems to get more of the big jackpot winners.

California/Florida = cannot claim anonymously

Texas = you CAN claim the prize anonymously

I think they rig it for states where you either have to claim it yourself OR you gotta set up a blind trust to claim it for you....but most people don't wanna do that so they just go and claim it.

Someone winning $150M in Dallas is fine. They don't want someone winning $1.5B with complete anonymity. Sure there's some nefarious bullshyt at play. You hit a certain level of raw cash and they figure it's too dangerous for you to be 100% UTR.

My theory on why Florida has so many winners, Is because a lot of wealthy retirees settle in Florida. They have more disposable income to spend on tickets. We’ve seen most consumers/winners are senior citizens.

I don’t believe there’s a conspiracy theory. Too many states participate for this to be allowed and it’s already heavily independently adjudicated.
