Interesting so now this is a Snoop solo as opposed to a Dre/Snoop collaboration album?

Makes sense, as Dre is reluctant to have his name on anything.

Atleast with a production team, that’s more music that will go directly into Dre’s vault.

Dre produces Cookout music.

If this is more of that over produced Compton shyt it’s gonna be dead on arrival.
Judging by the first single we're getting cookout music

I thought it was going to be a Compton like experimental album myself

It's always been a Snoop solo from the beginning even from the beginning

Snoop said it himself

I mean, I get it from the other side of the coin. Heads think Dre making the beats=Producer. When in reality Producer=the man orchestrating the beat makers.

Like heads fail to see that there's layers to production. For some people that are good with drums are shyt with chords. While others are beasts with the keys, but can't lay a drum pattern to save a shyt.

Prime example is the Neptunes (or lack thereof :mjcry: ). You can easily tell that Pharrell was the drum layer, while Chad was the chords and sometimes horns. Thus why somebody needs to arrange the overall sounds into this cohesive setting of music.

Its all confusion and Dre constantly getting shytted on for the wrong and sometimes right reasons, like how he did Daz and em in the beginning.
Yeah folks that worked on 2001 said Dre would play out a drum pattern on the MPC, maybe even a bassline and then direct everyone on what to play on top of that

Noooo, you got it backwards I think.

Chad is the drum layer, Pharrell is the melody guy.
You can tell if you ever hear a solo Chad beat - drums still be slappin’, but he has barely any treble.

Smitty?? SAME one who rapped Diamonds On My Neck and Lil Haiti???

I haven’t heard that name since 2006.

I’m glad that he’s back in the loop.

Yeah, Smitty's been writing heavily for like 20 years behind the scenes.

He was doing a lot of writing for Puff too, for years. But he's been with Dre for a minute, working on all kinds of sh*t.
