:russ:Looks like he is heir to the Portillo chain. This is really one of the only times I actually have an opinion on this subject: calling her black is some bullshyt.

Part black? Sure. When you can full blown pass and you have a white parent, Biracial or mixed is just fine. She dont even look Tisha Campbell black. It just isnt there.

Blackish.

Tisha Campbell is light but she has two black parents and could never pass as white. Obama only has one black parent but is way darker. Tiger is darker than both and more mixed than both.

Shyt is random as fukk.

This is less about the one-drop rule is more about people not having to contextualize what "first black" even means.

Let's say she had more than one black grandparents, what about her journey speaks to the advancement of black people in her field?

Hell, "first black" meant shyt to a lot of actual black ppl.

Some of y'all were mad at Mike McDaniel for not claiming his blackness and now you're mad at her for claiming hers? Some of y'all nikkaz don't know what you want.

She has two black grandparents. Her father is a light skin black man from New Jersey with two light skin black parents.

I've seen pictures of her two siblings, they look like your typical light skin black people or biracial people.
