On July 12, at approximately 6:30 PM, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to 3017-D Oak Hammock Lane, reference to a homicide. TPD identified the victim as Mylon Devore Lowe.
TPD homicide investigators began focusing their efforts toward U'Dreka Andrews after it was learned that Andrews was the last one to have contact with Lowe. Investigators believed that Andrews and a second suspect, Danny Joe Brown, planned to rob Lowe at Lowe's house. Through search warrants and interviews, investigators were able to charge U'Dreka Andrews and Danny Joe Brown for the homicide of Mylon Lowe.
According to investigators, Andrews and Brown called Lowe to set up a meeting between Andrews and Lowe at Lowe's house. Both suspects traveled to the apartment via a cab from their house located at 3210 Jim Lee Road. After the homicide, Andrews and Brown returned to their house by cab.
U'Dreka Andrews, age 17, is being held in the Juvenile Assessment Retention Center and charged with: Felony Murder, Home Invasion, Grand Theft of a Firearm.
Danny Joe Brown, age 21, currently has outstanding warrants for: Felony Murder, Home Invasion, Grand Theft of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon.
