Reality Check
Keepin' it 100
We all remember that year. Multiple corporate twitter accounts were clowning Meek, from McDonalds to others. Multiple memes were trending. Nothing he did or said cut thru. Long story short is that Drake's mad he got put in that same position.
"Them super powers getting neutralized..."
The corporate machine was used against Meek during that battle and it still effects people public perception of him today, cause people are followers and not confident enough to think for themselves.
It should not have even been possible for a mixed Jewish child actor from Canada to get caught not writing his own rhymes, get exposed by a black rapper from the inner city of Philadelphia, and the Jewish guy from Toronto who not writing his own shyt destroys the Philly rapper in a battle. But people let them folks control the narrative. Drake always been a fukking dweeb.
It should have been a fukking wrap for Drake in hip-hop between the ghostwriting and him being pissed on, but what Meek had to go through was some bullshyt that should have had every hip-hop fan be questioning why in the world everyone is all of a sudden so invested in him. The ghostwriting is what led me to view him as a pop artist like Rihanna and Beyoncé, hence him being known as (and his diva like antics keep proving me 100% right) Drayoncé.
Beat was hard but the raps werent
To me, it also sounded like he tried to rap while either his mouth was numb or if he had cotton balls/marbles in his mouth. Something seemed off about his delivery on that track.
