We all remember that year. Multiple corporate twitter accounts were clowning Meek, from McDonalds to others. Multiple memes were trending. Nothing he did or said cut thru. Long story short is that Drake's mad he got put in that same position.

The corporate machine was used against Meek during that battle and it still effects people public perception of him today, cause people are followers and not confident enough to think for themselves.
It should not have even been possible for a mixed Jewish child actor from Canada to get caught not writing his own rhymes, get exposed by a black rapper from the inner city of Philadelphia, and the Jewish guy from Toronto who not writing his own shyt destroys the Philly rapper in a battle. But people let them folks control the narrative. Drake always been a fukking dweeb.

What's bad was nikkas in the industry were dead ass defending him not writing his raps. You even had hoe ass Ross stay out of it and he suppose to be the main person backing Meek up. That shyt had restaurants on social media shytting on Meek and they never tweeted about rap before. Even had ESPN Sportsnation make whole segments about it clowning Meek.
