Drake pointed out that Meek is opening for his girl--thats $50k+ a night, and every current rapper in the world, minus Drake, Cole, & Kendrick would be opening for Nicki, Drake makes more but let's not act like this is a real life loss for Meek. It might fukk with him slightly that his girl is a bigger star, but that's a rich person problem, and one that we'd all kill to have.
Drake points out that Meek tweets a lot and calls him a snitch, which is him admitting that he has ghostwriters, and lets be clear, this isn't even close to the same thing as snitching, though I don't like the idea of putting another person's livelihood in jeopardy even if it's someone like Drake who is already filthy rich. 4 tracks have leaked since then showing Quentin Miller has written substantial amounts of music for Drake, anyone denying that doesn't understand hip-hop, songwriting, etc.
Meek questions Drake's credibility in the streets, which is pretty interchangeable with his credibility in hip-hop. We all know Drake has never had any credibility here, people were willing to overlook this because Drake makes some really good music, but now we find out that he may not have written a great deal of that.
Meek calls Drake out on Puffy smacking him and TI's boy pissing on him. Real life shyt here that hurts a man's pride and self-esteem. Retaliation against Puff could've possibly led to blackballing, and who knows what TI's boy is capable of, so I can understand why Drake didn't respond, with that said these are both inescapable losses, no way to spin this into any kind of W, these are both take ur L and keep moving situations if you're not about that life. We all know Drake is not.
But Drake is winning this hands down? Makes sense in 2015
Anyone who knows me can tell you that I prefer Drake's music to Meek's, and I'm from Philly, but being as objective as I can be, the charges Meek's levied against Drake SHOULD be far more damaging than what Drake's thrown at Meek. Sad state of affairs for hip-hop/rap.
