Meek dropped the ball on this one. Why all the bullshyt skits and mumbling?
It's called zone 6. These are zones identified by the police. Zone 6 is east Atlanta. Is there a place called, the 6 Zone, in Atlanta?
...QM wrote that, and that's where he was running thru with his woes.......and Drake made it about Toronto instead?
What in the holy fukk are you talking about?
Reference track is battle rapping now?
I thought it was a prop to start the battle...
Act like every single rapper out here except Drake writes every single word of all their work.
aint gonna lie when i saw the title featuring quentin miller i was like thought that nikka escaped and defected from the clutches of ovo to tell his story.
THIS IS HOW YOU DROP A DISS SONG BREHS
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Let me know when you get a biggie reference trackRakim, gang Starr, biggie, etc...
Imo, I hope he never does this again and that it was basically just for the mixtape. However for me as I interpret things. Is that back in the days producers and your closest people helped you, with Drake it's mostly the same but now he also has QM. Hopefully that's just a minor mistake cause this was a mixtape where he was trying some shyt (that didn't work imo, except know yourself). So I can forgive that shyt and other people who care might forgive it as well, if his next album contains no additional writers except the ovo executives and producers. When we see credits though, we don't know what that person did. Was it a verse or just a hook? Or did they help out with the beat? Then of course you got names on the credits who didn't do anything on the actual song, they worked on the song that this song sampled from. My point is just seeing names on the credits tells you very little.
True if you disliked him before you still will. And a large portion of his fans don't care, although I believe some actually do and were caught off guard by this. It's more about respect though. How do his peers who were unaware look at him now, especially true lyricists? I've been in this hip hop culture for a long time and there have been rappers who came and went who I might not necessarily be a fan of, but at least I respect their body of work as their own creation.
