Nah. Big budget blockbusters are the only think keeping movie theaters alive. The death of DVD’s and the rise of streaming has made it impossible for studios to spend money on different genres and still turn a profit. They actually depended on that backend from DVD sales.

Marvel can spend $150 - $200 million on a movie and still make a profit.
