Jones was well on his way to building up to major endorsements and being sealed as GOAT

He messed it up for himself.

He could have either defended a couple more times or done some heavy weight fight and then just Demanded Co promoter credit or he's leaving. Plus you can tell how his mind was already working due to his comments leading up to the Conner floyd fight... "Glad hes getting money" "im thinking about the business side more too" and he was over the top supportive.

Conner will lose his next couple fights- which will look horrible for the promotion

They need a new star quick.
Jones was with nike. The reebok deal fukked him

What leverage does he have? Did either the rashad or rampage fights do a million? And that was before his first offense

Ps as for Connor I hope they make him a co promoter but it's going to look hilarious now he's just going to be a loser. No way he beats Ferguson and no way he beats khabib. Don't think he can beat barboza either so at some point he will just look like a chael sonnen
How come people live to doubt people who have made history (from nothing to the only 2-weight champion). As if he randomly forgot how to fight...?

Sure all these dudes you mentioned are beasts, but Conor is no joke - he got his millions doing UFC and he did that and promoting so well way more people watch UFC now and he flipped that into the biggest pay day in boxing any Floyd opponent ever had.

People have instant amnesia once someone hits it big.

.
you are forgetting a very important aspect that separates conor from Jones one is white the other is not and which colour is the majority in america? Even if Jones didn't shoot himself in the foot he didn't have the following to command a ppv for a simple q&a..Which is why I prefixed my comments by using the Rashad fight which did not do a mill despite the build/hype and squeaky clean image when business was booming.
Conor is doing a mill like it's going out of style in an era where the ppv business (for mma) is :flabbynsick:

Ps I wouldn't read too much into jones's comments. When he said "business side" it was more side show shyt like callout Brock knowing fully well it will make rounds but the fight never happens. Not co promoting which he has no leverage to even imagine

Dude there is a reason he fought siver's and porier's enroute to aldo and never fought Edgar. That was when his and the UFC's interests were intertwined. Now he wants to cut into their bottom line there is no real reason to protect him

People really believe conor has been handed everything on a plate and that he can't fight for some reason. They let their personal feelings and jealousy completely cloud their vision it's obvious. He can really fight

Lol ain't no one saying he has been handed everything but if you honestly think they didn't keep him away from Edgar for dear life then I got a bridge to sell you

I'm not very aware about that situation. Could you tell me about that please? Like time lines and what happened or didn't happen :feedme:

Exactly what I said he didn't face him to get the title (despite the fact he was the undisputed number 2 to aldo) nor did he face him to defend the title once he won it. Instead he had carte blanche to moonlight in 2 different weight classes and take 3 fights. Because they knew Edgar would play spoiler and do nothing with the rub..

He beat the champion decisively and stopped them in those 2 divisions. He's hardly moonlighting.

The act of hopping weight classes (in the 1st place) when his work at featherweight was unfinished is "moonlighting". If he was done then he should have relinquished but we know why he didnt

He should have relinquished the fw title yes. But its better for the ufc to have conor mcgregor as a two weight champion simultaneously. It's better for the company and to make more money. As if they would let connor release thr belt. He's never making featherweight again and never was going to be able to after the aldo fight.
