It's that same ol story. Ya'll put more energy into complaining about what you don't like while ignoring what you claim to want and need. How is it that a song like this by 2 of the dopest female emcees in hip hop history is ignored on a site that claims to be so pro Black but there is an active 7 page thread about Sexyy Red?

Best MC Lyte song ive ever heard:wow:

But you cant possibly expect this to garner hype or move the needle. Their time has passed.

Now if you wanna talk about younger artist making music like this being overlooked, thats another story.

Sadly good music and artist fall through the cracks without the antics i was just talking about TransLee the other day. Where would Kendrick be without Control? Could easily be Lupe status:francis:.

Let me chose my words wisely…

Two, vintage, women who like women making a song about the Black Man doesn’t really hit like it would from someone current with more reach.

Lyte & Latifahs main audience already know what time it is.
