Hammer was absolutely not hip hop...but I had a great respect for him as an artist. He worked so darn hard, he was loyal to his people and looked out for them. As an artist, he stayed in his lane...he did what he was best at doing...and he was a pretty smart business man I think despite losing millions. Man, that was one dancin fool.

Yea, this is how I feel. I think the young homie Tom thought I was trying to disrespect his thread. Hammer did his thing. Much respect.

I always hated the dudes music and I always thought he was corny.

But I respected his hustle, his work ethic, his vision and what he was ultimately trying to do.

:salute:

True, LL Cool J, Big Daddy Kane and Heavy D weren't Hip-Hop either. Those guys, dancing while rapping and shiit.

It's not like dancing is one of the pillars of Hip-Hop. :shaq2:

nothing wrong with the dancing. but the difference between Hammer and those dudes is the fact that they could actually rap...

i will say though, Hammer is one of the GOAT live performers in hip hop. not too many rappers could shut shyt down like he did
