2015, 2014 is pacs last year of his contract with top rank

goldenboy and top rank dont mix

Pac-De La hoya
Pac-Hatton

Never occured... Those fights were just figments of my imagination :ohhh:

The "i don't do business with top rank" excuse just doesn't fly... it's a pathethic cop out.

Floyd has always acknowledged that boxing is a business 1st and foremost, but for whatever reason he's allowing a petty grudge to stand in the way of what might amount to one of the highest grossing sporting events in world history? c'mon b :stopitslime:something smells here... of the aroma that emits from the female crotch region

I feel about this fight the same way I felt about the Ghost fight last May...don't care for it but I understand

Floyd fighting twice a year now so as long as his next fight is a threat like Canelo was then no harm in a stay busy Khan fight

Can't blame the business decision on this one, but at the same time they can't charge $74 for this. I don't care what the undercard has, even if it's Maidana/Broner II on the undercard, I still wouldn't drop $74 for this. It'd be nice like the homie on here said in another thread, it'd be nice to show this on television. This might be a stupid question, but is Showtime affiliated with any of the major television networks, like CBS, NBC, etc.? Show this fight on television, Saturday night, CBS, Fox, whomever. Use it as a stepping stone to a more legitimate PPV match featuring Mayweather. The reality is, there is nobody out there that's a legitimate threat to Floyd within Goldenboy's camp or not affilliated with Top Rank that's worth traditional PPV money when it comes to a matchup with Mayweather. The way I see it, until the cold war between GB and Top Rank dies down, paying anything more than $40 on a PPV is stupidity at it's finest.

Mayweather-Khan should really be a non PPV affair if it actually needs to happen. Show it on regular Showtime or CBS and im sure it will get the ratings the execs are looking for. It only has entertainment value because Floyd for once has an opponent he can score a legit KO on without any fukkery. That appeals to the casual cats who find Floyd's type of boxing tedious or boring to watch. You also have people who flat out hate Amir Khan and want to see him beat up in any fashion regardless on who does it. I'm not expecting to see anything spectacular done to Khan. He's already had his equilibrium brutally sent to the bushes inside a round by a crude power puncher....can't get anymore spectacular than that lol. The undercard has to be completely devoid of floyd's little nikkas. Well one of them can be on the card as an opener against a cat who comes to fight like Cano but then the rest of the card has to be certified heat.

The Pac v Bradley fight was just finalized so TMT had plenty of time to make this happen. And let's be real, the whole Floyd not fighting an Arum fighter is a rule Floyd created. If he decided tomorrow to fight one of the two, the PAC v Bradley fight would be off in minutes. I agree both Maidana and Khan are light years beneath May and are equally trash but Maidana's name is a bit hotter at the moment.

Either way, I'm ordering the fight :mjpls:

That's why Danny Garcia has stated he won't fight Bradley or Pac because his promoter doesn't do business with Top Rank, and its basically two different boxing leagues right now

There's only one reason why I'm glad this fight is happening, and that's because once Amir gets murked, all of the delusional crackhead british announcers can finally stfu about Khan being the only threat to Floyd because of his speed. smh.

Also, while we're here.

Besides PAC, who is there available to fight Floyd that could pose a threat

I think Bradley would make it entertaining. TBH with you, I have a strange feeling Bradley is gonna surprise some people with his rematch against Pac. I believe he's going to legitimately outbox Pac, hell, he likely would have done more damage against Pac if not for the foot injury in their first go-round. Pac got him last time, no doubt about it, bad decision, but more than a few people are going to be surprised when Bradley wins this next fight, legitimately.

Lara is someone else that I think could potentially give Mayweather problems, but unfortunately he doesn't have the clout to make Floyd consider it. I was rooting for Trout when he fought Lara, and even though my man lost, it made me a fan of Lara. Never paid him that much attention before, but the way he fought Trout makes me think his style could present some problems for Floyd.

But those would be my three, Lara, Pac, Bradley, and not one of those fights is ever going to materialize.
