I don't know how anyone can prefer HBO's announcing team to Showtime's. Showtime is better in nearly every way.

I realize Showtime's team might be better but I guess it's a familiarity thing, I natural expect to hear (and complain about) Lampley, Kellerman, Merchant and Lederman when watching boxing, Roy Jones Jr too. When Jones, Lampley and Merchant have their moments they are really great moments that make the fight. They are just better to listen to in my opinion.

Even if you think the HBO telecast sucks they are the most passionate commentators out there for boxing easily.
