Floyd is going to frustrate the hell out of Cotto and Cotto is going to try to force offense and get winded heavy. Floyd might KO him by the 8th if his chest blows up.
yea, and Cotto is one known to not even go all 12 really...in terms of being into the fight the entire time. Floyd gets better as it progresses, while he makes adjustments too.

Cotto is gonna have to attack in order to win, and Floyd will take him out of his game. He may become a target at some point & be tired.

Cotto is gonna look bad & we'll all be like, "this dude should retire soon."

The only thing that I fear whenever Mayweather fights is that Sunday punch. But also some of us are acting like Cotto ain't skilled and has no hope. I want to be fair a knowledge Cotto's skills:yeshrug: :smugfavre:

The C stands for Cotto
soon to be the champ
His 1s and 2s got Mayweather shook
He's better listen to his corner
and watch for the hook

Nah, I'm kidding.

Even at 35, Mayweather man, proved me wrong every single time I doubted him. It kind of defies everything, but at the same time with his conditioning and training regimin, it doesn't, it's just weird, lol. At this point, it's just about Money May, anybody he is fighting just doesn't matter until the Manny fight.

my predictions on the card

May vs Cotto - Floyd UD12

Shane vs. Canelo - If it goes the distance Canelo is getting the decision else Shane by a late round TKO in rounds 9-12

Steve Forbes vs. Jessie Vargas - Forbes is done..Vargas by late KO/TKO

DeAndre Latimore vs. Carlos Quintana - Latimore by KO/TKO

With Shane seeming to just be fighting for checks over the last couple years, it wouldn't shock me if Shane doesn't even go hard tomorrow....for Golden Boy's sake.

Oscar & Schaefer probably told Shane they'll give him a lil' extra on the low if he doesn't try to KO this kid....who's their little $$ :hamster:

Not saying Cotto isn't skilled, just saying that he is a shell of his former self and even that version would not beat Floyd. That Margarito performance while redeeming for him can't be taken as much because Marg's been DONE after that Pac fight and even with one eye he was able to tag Cotto.

Cotto wasn't even impressive vs. Foreman or Mayorga either. Albeit those fights were after Margario & Pacman dismantled him & before this current trainer, but ehhh still.

Miguel cotto, an orthodox fighter with a very neat and traditional stance, to me he is a defensive genius, to the point that he is almost impenetrable on the inside, plus he has power and speed.

On the other hand we have an Orthodox Maywhether, who although has a very unconventional and vulnerable peek-a-boo style, possess the explosive speed and reflexes necessary to make it work for him perfctly.

Migull is a very proficient inside fighter, so his power and tight defense will aid him extremely well there, but on the outside he stands a small chance against Money. Don't get me wrong, he is ok on the outside, but lacks the speed necessary to truly dominate the likes of Mayweather.

Now Floyd Mayweather is simply an all rounder, he poses the speed, reflexes and power (but not as much power as miguell) to do well both inside or out, and his ring generalship is one of a kind.

The latter is where i believe Floyd has the advantage. As one poster already noted, Miguell will have to chase Maywether because i'm sure Maywether, due to the advise of his coach, will stick to fighting on the outside especially during the earlier rounds, therefore Miguel will have no choice but to chase him, which will ultimately lead to Miguel becoming excessively tired and vulnerable during the later rounds, making for an easy TKO decision for Floyd (if floyd boxes smartly).

That's my prediction; Miguel getting TKO'd due to strikes in the later rounds.

Either way this should be a very interesting fight because miguell and floyd are the complete opposite in terms of style. All scholars of pugilism will watch this one with anticipation.

I read a Mayweather piece in this month's ESPN mag and it said that HE set how much he's making off of the fight, set Cotto's purse, set the ticket prices, set the "suggested" pay-per view prices, and reserved the rental of 440 movie theaters to show is fight. He is damn:win: for real! Wow, this is why Manny doesn't deserve 50/50 split. Read the issue, it's called the "Money Issue" with him on the cover. Nice read..

we pirates over here...up that scan playbwoy. :birdman:
