Mayweather Jr. could go toe to toe with any boxing legend.

Mayweather Jr was clearly the best of the 2000 era, and has been so far the best in the 2010 era, though he is only 3 fights in. But I think Mayweather Jr. is one of the best in any era. Id put him up against any 70s or 80s legend. Dude is remarkable.

He is one of the only boxing virtuosos I've ever seen. Dude has so many different styles he can beat his opponents with, and casual boxing fans don't recognize that.

Was this a serious fukking statement? OF COURSE Mike Tyson would beat Floyd Mayweather... there's a reason they have weight classes in boxing. Any heavyweight would give Floyd that work.

And according to Floyd, he gave Pernell that work when he was still an amatuer. But that's according to Floyd, I'm sure Pernell would say the exact opposite.

But, yeah, this whole thread is a "duh" statement anyway. Everybody recognizes that Floyd is an all-time great fighter and (arguably) the best of his generation. Of course he'd be able to hold his own if not beat any fighter of any era.

Man, duh! Of course he'd lose to iron mike. And of course I'm referencing those in and around 147. Also, I'm speaking comparatively about his skills, not just if he could beat any fighter in any weight class.

Also as the other person said, floyd fought whitaker and got the best of him when whitaker was the P4P king.
