Actually I didn't respond because it was too obvious.

Of course it changes what they know. Because said Knowledge serves little purpose but to incite needless hysteria over a virus with a 96% survival rate.
You made up nonsense about testing and ignored other nations with high testing and low positives. You are not a a thinker.

People in NYC are paying money for fake vaccine cards when they are paying to you take the vaccine that will in fact protect you from this disease that might kill you

We are doomed as a species. I'm sure of it now.

I'm just trying to enjoy this shyt while I can...the next "thing" is going to crack this world, I feel it coming

the only thing i'll give him props for in that article is for clearly laying out the reasons he wants remote workers to go back to their offices. I don't think deblasio or the governor gave clarity on the financial eco-system of the city. most folks don't know how industries or certain professions impact one another and it's good that he clarified that for the lay-person.

Exactly, there’s REAL economic consequences if you shut everything down. Most folks don’t get to work from their home computer

I don’t see how you could read his response and come away with a negative feeling, he laid it out clearly for you.

There’s no more stimmy checks coming, get vaccinated and get back to work

He says that and I agree but once again how does temporarily closing in a midst of a surge for a either two weeks or a month equate to 2 years of closing?

The issue now is people are either jumping to a conclusion that a long shutdown is needed or that if we temporarily shutdown now we’ll always do it. It’s fractured logic, that’s ignoring the surge happening now and the unspoken reality that America could end up making its own variant.

Temporary closing in order to improve testing, mask distribution, and put public transportation back into late night cleaning protocols makes sense. Also, for the sake of children they should have remote learning if they aren’t vaccinated. This whole policy if presented by say Donald Trump would get destroyed in the media.

dude is using black kids as the reason to keep schools open.:snoop:

I don't think he's entirely wrong with his arguments but I know he ain't right with his messaging.

some older kids might very well not stay home if schools aren't open.:francis:

this country squandered a good chance to get a handle on this pandemic in 2020.:martin:

dude has some terrible options but he got to think outside the box for solutions and work on his messaging.

Which is still wild to me because unless these people have pensions (some do...) OR lots of money saved (not likely based on the numbers) AND own their property in places like Brooklyn and areas like Harlem (again unlikely based on stats), he will be at least semi-responsible for them being pushed out of their neighborhoods economically if not socially and culturally.
they were terrified of crime and Eric Adams is a cop.

The left---and none of the candidates in the NYC mayor race were really leftists---need to do a better job of finding a solution to crime. Make old people feel safe and secure and they will vote for you.
