No he got in because he is the rare politician who actually pays what he owes to people who get into his presence. The political class (and their donors) loved him and he got a shyt ton of co-signs. He’s a Andrew Koch with the inflated ego and quickness to point fingers at others but with an actual political machine behind him.

You are right about him wanting to come in and emulate deBlasio but give deBlasio some credit he was at least good at hiring smart people who thought he would give them a chance to do some amazing stuff for the social good. Outside of the people in charge of appeasing the real estate developer’s deBlasio hired some good people.

Adam’s hiring record is based one what he does best, paying back favors.
