Mayor Eric Adams has fearmongered to New Yorkers about crime and the subways despite knowing this is one of the safest cities in the country and now..

Finally watched this interview. This is how I like to see Olu. She’s in her element in these spaces.

Thank goodness TBC had enough sense to bring someone on who can actually ask the right questions and hold politicians accountable.

She needs to do a ride along in the city. Olu spent to much time defending trannys to really understand the people being victimized in New York city not to mention policies effecting black people that are backed by democrats like the migrant crisis.

This is my issue with her talking points. When you get her off that topic she’s GOLD

She's grilling him but really about what. She seems more like shes performing. Like a gotcha about a non issue. An Increased police presence as a result of crime on the subway.

Cops aren't enforcing as many laws as they were before the defund the police movement. The migrant crisis has drained nycs funds and cuts were made to public safety. These are democratic initiatives.

Petty criminals get caught and are released quickly due to cashless bail which Olu defends. Democrat initiative. The stats do not match what is actually happening. Acts that used to be crimes are no longer arrestable offenses. Democrat initiative.

When criminals know they can get away with something in a certain area that area becomes a watering hole for crime or just obnoxious behavior. If this area intersects with common folks (working class/seniors/children) they want to feel protected by the City.

Is she riding the subway in these hotspots. She needs to really see what they're seeing managing crime Ina City with as many people as new York. It's got to be a nightmare

ride alongs don't matter, you should look at these things with a statistical approach. You will never meet enough people to actually get a good feel of a situation. Plus shes a public defender so I'm sure she sees more of the victimized person than you watching cop youtube.

Public defender meaning she'll defend anyone. Everyone she defends is a good guy.

The voters who want a greater presence don't want to hear "but crime is down according to the stats" from a person who's not in the mix and obviously doesn't understand the variables. She just wants to perform

And this is different than any other lawyer how? Why don't big criminals use public defenders and use private instead?

The stats reflect the facts on the ground, news reports highlighting specific crimes does not change whats really happening. NYC is a city of 8 million people, there is no way any single person has an idea of what is going on

The people in the areas with an Increased police presence seem to think they understand. Stats only cover what's put on paper. In the current environment of justice in NYC, alot is slipping through the cracks.

QUEENS NY
I rather much have Diblasio back, that's how bad Adams have been. Just pure corruption, very Trump like.
Say what you will about Bill but he gave us universal Pre-K and 3k and I don't think people ever really acknowledged just how huge that was for working families. How great that is for the child to start his/her education a year earlier and in 3K two years earlier. And it's something more and and municipalities are starting after the city implemented it. What Bill implemented is happening more and more around the country. Bill deserves a TON of credit for that.

Maybe she's good out there and is connected to people. That doesn't mean your average working class nobody is avoiding the fukkery like she is, somehow

Yall still arguing feelings over numbers because some c00n major feelings? Dude is basically taking funding away from programs that kept criminals out of the streets and yall over here salivating over more pigs
but Eric Adam’s job isn’t to deny or downplay crime or to not even visually “show attention and force” in replying to allegations of crime.

The sort of mayor you want, doesn’t get elected because no one trusts them. No one wants crime and won’t react favorably if their claims they don’t feel safe aren’t respected
