Geez this is getting out of hand lol. Paul Walker wasn't the best actor, no doubt...and that scene in 2 Fast where he's gangsta is hilarious and even at 16 I laughed at that in the theater and my homie at the time defended the hell out of it and I gave him the
but anyway, as an action film fan, I'm a fan of the last couple Fast flicks, so sue me. Do I think they're high quality art or going to be on a top 10 greatest movie ever list? No, but that's not what they're aiming to do. They're action flicks with a focus on chemistry between actors and set pieces with a story that's at least competently told.
Anyway, dude wasn't great but he was serviceable and I think he was starting to become comfortable in his own skin acting wise and was probably going to show more of what he could do. Whether you liked him as an actor or not, you gotta respect the roles he took because he definitely took some risks and I would've loved to have seen what he did with Agent 47 just to see if he could pull it off (although no one is better than Timothy Olyphant) and by all accounts, dude was the nicest guy walking so why don't we celebrate the man and mourn the fact that a genuinely nice and charitable dude who's one passion was being able to watch his daughter grow up is gone because we give a lot of scumbags passes for the shyt they do all because they entertain us. This was a guy who entertained us (to varying degrees) AND was apparently a good man and good father.
