shyt is a childhood memory. Didn't even know the Green Goblin til this movie. Pop machine throwing them cans, lawnmower chasing people.

I don't even try to figure out how a curling iron strangled a Becky anymore. Too much fukkery. A military truck out there speaking in Morse code. Holding up the gas station like :feedme:

:what:

Man....what?

Uwe Boll has never even made a decent movie. Stephen King has actual classic novels and short stories....dozens. If you want to argue he fell off ok cool but you are wilding comparing him to Uwe Boll.

And as far as hiring someone so you don't repeat yourself....I never heard of that in relation to King. But other authors basically do the same thing. GRR Martin has people to remind him what color his character's eyes are.

Fred.
Dude got too many classics. Kujo, Christine, Pet Cemetery, Silver Bullet, The Stand, The Shining, etc. Did he do It & Needful Things. Storm of the Century. Sleepwalkers.

Does any single person challenge him with classic material? Real question now that I'm thinking about it.

The soda machine shooting out cans and killing the coach :laff: then shorty falling off the bike and getting flattened by the steamroller. That Semi with the Green Goblin on it was dope.

I love that this movie isn’t afraid to kill kids lol. It’s a weird thing to love but it holds no cut cards. Anybody can get it

Adaptation doesn’t work that way homie. He says yes and then has no control over what happens. That’s why he made maximum overdrive because he said he wanted to make a “real” Stephen king movie since everyone else got it wrong. Sometimes they consult with him, sometimes they don’t. But ultimately, it’s out of his hands. That comparison isn’t apt at all
the kids.... they didn't have to do those kids on the baseball field like that... :mjlol:
the soda machine scene
:laff::laff:

Since he started writing? Quality-wise, in terms of sheer volume nobody is fukking with him. Even counting his duds. He got like 10 legit certified classic novels and at least two bonafide classic short story collections. And honestly that's being stingy.

The only people I'd put above him inspired him, and are basically gods when it comes to horror and weird fiction. Like Poe and Lovecraft.

In terms of raw talent Clive Barker circa the 80's wrote circles around him but his catalog isn't even 1/10th of King's output. Also Barker basically stopped writing in his prime. He's the Andre 3000 of the horror world.
