I am catching up on NXT back to back today, and this has gone on long enough.

When Kona Reeves is on, he hits harder then Tupac in Hit Em Up

Like I want a 50 year old white man quoting 2pac, comparing him to Kona fukking Reeves?

Cardi B vs Nicki Minaj has nothing on Nikki Cross vs Bianca Bel-Air

Why is he even saying shyt like this?

I don’t mind Mauro, I just hate how he always talks over the entrances. Happened in Pride, Strikeforce, Bellator, Njpw and on smackdown. He gotta shut up sometimes and know that it’s ok to have dead air

Its corny but at least its different and with, I don't know, some fukking enthusiasm? Theres so many other things to hate about commentary
I love his enthusiasm. He is great calling matches, but these side hip hop and pop culture references are ridiculous.

I remember one time he compared Bobby Roode to Despacito I was like :dwillhuh:

Apparently, he's been doing it for years. He likes to keep up with pop culture and incorporate it into his commentary. It doesn't always work, but it probably helps him have more fun at the table. :yeshrug:

I would rather hear a few hip hop references every week than have to hear "OH MY!" or "YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!" or "THE BIG DOG!" or "IT'S BOSS TIME!" every week. :mjlit:

He's a bit more reserved during boxing, but he's always had a couple of cringey lines, but far more hits than misses.
