As for the signing, Riddle really would benefit from some work in Japan before joining NXT.
He's too much of a weed head to go to Japan, and to be honest I'm not sure he would benefit much from working there (performance wise), unless he'd be willing to go to the Big Japan dojo to work with Sekimoto (and spar with Hideki Suzuki
) but that's as unrealistic as him quitting weed to work there 
I think he's much more in need of people reining him in a little bit and learning how to put all the pieces together, and right now the perfect place to do that is NXT.

I know that we should be happy for him but the WWE is so terrible right now that they'll waste his talent just like they do for everyone else. But but he's getting that money though.
