Its a damn shame the E aint let him cook like TNA did and really do his thing.

In a way, I'm kinda sad for him.

He worked hard to get all that BUZZ only for them to stomp it out in a matter of months...... but oh well..... guess he got his money...... though its not like he couldnt get it outside of the E or wasnt making any

I remember Matt being cooked physically in the early 2000s. It's a miracle he's lasted this long. Also, if y'all get a chance, try to pull up his shoot interview with Shane Helms. Some great stories and gems were dropped.

Ahh he was beat up. He couldn’t do what he wanted because his body was shot. Don’t forget Jeff got hurt first and was out for months.
Why would he risk staying outside in the indies? He wasn’t going to a damn retirement package and job there and nowhere near WWE money.

Yea.......

No that’s not what I’m talking about.

If you go back and refresh your memory with the Broken Hardy stuff. 85% of it was promos or the vignettes at his home with his family.

That had really nothing to do with getting physical or risking his body.

Vince and co didn’t really let him have as much free reign or even 20% of the freedom and leeway to really work as hard and do that character

Even when they did, they had Cole shyt on the segment on air
That’s one of the biggest reasons I can’t imagine people being happy to work there. The company is publicly shytting on your creation in hopes that it’ll kill fan interest just before the segment goes on. They did everything short of tell the fans explicitly to change the channel.

I actually miss Striker. It seems like he was a genuine fan of the product and could have something insightful to say every once in a while. He could come off in a way that some people don't like, but the WWE could use someone like him.

Everything you just said is why Vince doesn’t want him:russ:

Keeping telling you all: the commentary is the way it is because Vince wants it this way. He wanted a complete 180 from JR and that’s what we have. Cole being awful doesn’t help but Vince is producing them all to be carbon copies and not add or subtract anything from the product. The brand speaks for itself

Everything you said is true. It's one of the reasons why we'll never hear Mauro's commentary on the main roster again. I don't know why Vince even bothered hiring J.R. if he never liked him. :mjcry:

From my understanding, Cole is the one who's in charge of coaching the commentators, which explains why everybody sounds the same. But he did advocate for Mauro to join the company so his real talents might be in working backstage as a producer or a consultant. Plus, if we're being honest, Cole was actually worth listening to at one point. He was never going to be J.R., but he worked well as the voice of SmackDown. Then they moved him to RAW and it was all downhill from there.
