nikka got no steal or shot, mid speed, high injury risk, average handle, 0 moving shot, trash stamina, average IQ on offense and defense rating, etc.
how you got whole characteristics to be better as a ball player and still get 100 rating? what happens if Shaq learns to shoot? he becomes a 115 level player? shyt made no real sense

He’s wrong, but I get the sentiment. Some of these players have useless stats to boost them, but they’re useless when you’re actually playing.
There's a stat in 2K called Intangibles that they use to move Overall up and down.
Intangibles, weighted scores, and the badges all do things to the overall. I moved a defensive badge from bronze to silver, to see what happened. The overall went from an 84 to 87. I’ve bumped speed up 2 points and watched an overall jump up +4. Different things affect different players. I noticed that even height can bump or drop some individual ratings.

It’s not an average, there’s a formula they use to calculate the overall. You can take Kyrie’s stats and place them on a center and the center might have a lower overall than Kyrie because the formula for a center’s overall might place a heavier emphasis on stats like rebounding and interior defense which Kyrie will have low ratings in.
IDK if they still have it in the game, but back in the 2K15-2K19 MyTeam games, they would be able to increase a player’s overall with the Intangibles stat. We used to seek out players with low Intangibles ratings because even though they might be a lower overall than cards with a higher overall and higher Intangible, the lower overall cards would still be better because they had more total attribute points.
